the Center Today and beyond

The face of the filipino nation
in San Francisco...

The Philippine Center in San Francisco is managed by the Philippine Center Management Board, Inc. (PCMB).

More than a century after its construction, the Philippine Center continues to serve as a distinguished presence of the Philippine Government and the Filipino nation in San Francisco. More than a historic landmark, it is a place where Filipino heritage, culture, and diversity converge — reflecting the richness of a nation shaped by countless regions, traditions, languages, and communities.

Distinguished by its elegant architecture, enduring character, and profound historical significance, the Philippine Center stands as a symbol of the Philippines in the heart of San Francisco. Its walls embody the history, identity, and spirit of the Filipino people while celebrating the many voices, traditions, and experiences that make the Filipino community vibrant and diverse.

The Philippine Center also serves as a bridge of friendship, partnership, and cooperation between the Philippines and the City and County of San Francisco, the greater Bay Area, the State of California, and communities throughout the United States. It provides a meaningful venue for strengthening the longstanding bonds between Filipinos and Americans and for fostering cultural, economic, civic, and people-to-people connections.

Today, the Philippine Center is more than a historic building. It is a living symbol of Filipino heritage and identity, a place where history and culture continue to be celebrated, connections are strengthened, and the enduring partnership between the Filipino people and the communities they call home is carried forward.
