The Kalayaan (Freedom) Hall
The elegant Kalayaan Hall — Kalayaan meaning “freedom” in Tagalog — offers a striking blend of historic grandeur and Filipino craftsmanship. With a soaring ceiling of more than 20 feet, the approximately 2,750-square-foot hall can accommodate up to 100-150 guests, making it an exceptional setting for receptions, cultural programs, corporate gatherings, and special events.
The hall’s original Renaissance-Baroque architectural details, including its ornate ceiling and columns, have been meticulously restored to reflect the vision of the building’s original 1916 architect. A team of restoration experts carefully preserved these distinctive historic elements, allowing the hall’s century-old character to shine.
Adding to its timeless elegance, the original elaborate ceiling is illuminated by clusters of exquisite capiz (mother-of-pearl) chandeliers, handcrafted in the Philippines. Together, these architectural and decorative details create a distinctive space where Filipino artistry, heritage, and historic San Francisco elegance come together.
Sentro Rizal - Museo ng Lahing Pilipino (Museum of Philippine heritage)
Sentro Rizal-Museo ng Lahing Pilipino (Museum of Philippine Heritage) celebrates the rich culture, history, and artistic traditions of the Philippines. The museum features a curated collection of permanent exhibits, including intricately crafted woodwork depicting Philippine history, traditional national costumes, cultural artifacts, sculptures, and other works that reflect the country’s diverse heritage.
Among its notable treasures are two masterpieces by Fernando Amorsolo, the Philippines’ first National Artist and one of the country’s most celebrated painters. These works add to the museum’s distinctive collection and offer visitors a glimpse into the artistic legacy of the Philippines.
Spanning approximately 2,096 square feet, the museum can accommodate up to 49 guests, providing an intimate and engaging setting for exhibitions, cultural programs, educational activities, and private events.
