The Philippine Center Management Board, Inc. (PCMB) manages the Philippine Center and is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the building.

PCMB was established on June 19, 1974 by virtue of Presidential Decree (PD) 487, to consolidate, integrate and coordinate the activities of Philippine government offices and agencies abroad.

Its mandate is to “nurture, promote, and propagate Philippine culture; to encourage foreign tourists to visit the Philippines; to expand the foreign market for Philippine products; to provide efficient and comprehensive public service in the country and abroad; and in general to enhance the image of the Philippines.”

PD 487 specifically authorizes PCMB to operate, manage and maintain the Philippine Center in San Francisco.

Mission

To consolidate, integrate, and coordinate the activities and services of Philippine Government offices and agencies abroad, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient, responsive, and unified delivery of government services.

Vision

To promote and strengthen Philippine culture, heritage, and identity; encourage tourism and investment in the Philippines; expand international markets for Philippine products and services; provide efficient and comprehensive public service at home and abroad; and advance a positive and enduring image of the Philippines throughout the world.
