The Philippine Center has two events venue, namely the Kalayaan Hall, which is located on the ground floor and adjacent to the lobby, and the Sentro Rizal-Museo ng Lahing Pilipino, which is on the 5th floor of the building.
The elegant Kalayaan (Tagalog for freedom) Hall has a towering ceiling height of more than 20 feet. It measures about 2,750 square feet with a capacity of up to 100 people. The original renaissance/baroque ornate design of the ceiling and columns were restored to its 1916 original architect’s design by a team of restoration experts.
The Kalayaan Hall’s original elaborate ceiling is adorned with clusters of capiz (mother of pearl) chandeliers which are handmade in the Philippines.
